Inspiration
When I was very young, maybe 10 or 11, I created my own business. It was called A.R.T. This stood for Art by Rebecca, and then the T meant something but I can’t exactly remember. This business was me selling my art. I numbered all of my pieces and then on my hand-me-down computer I had a log of what the item was, the description, the medium, and, most importantly the price. Needless to say my mom was my best customer. To this day she tells me she still laughs about my little “business.”
Waldos & Co
Waldos and Company is a “non-profit art co-op where they are enjoying community, advancing culture and fostering creativity.” I am lucky enough to be apart of this great group of people. I have a studio space inside of Waldos. As soon as you walk in the door you just want to sit down and create something. I’ve currently been working on stained glass, but I have done glass beads, crochet, and will soon be getting into throwing on a potters wheel.
There is a small space within Waldos to purchase hand crafted items. I currently have some stained glass necklaces, wire bracelets, and a couple of Kokopeli stained glass figures for sale, be sure to check them out!
